Boosting Online Presence with a Bold Interactive One-Pager

To elevate Refresh’s online presence, I designed a bold, interactive one-page website and collaborated closely with the development team at Salt & Pepper to bring it to life. The site went on to be featured on multiple design platforms, including One Page Love.

[The brief]

From a holding page to a home.

Refresh, a digital product design studio in Johannesburg, had a holding page: its name, one line about what it does, a photo and "launching soon".

I designed a bold, interactive one-pager to show who they are, what they do and who for, and worked closely with Salt & Pepper's developers to build it.

[01 · The team]

Meet the people at their desks.

The team section is a photo of the studio at work, with a hotspot over each person to find out who they are and what they do.

The bubbles and the way they animate are taken from Figma, where you see your collaborators' cursors and names move around a shared file, so the studio feels like you've just opened their working file.

[02 · The work]

What they do, and who for.

Two disciplines, product design and branding, each with what it covers. Then the partners, from Standard Bank and Spotify to Accenture, Airbnb and Nestlé, each with a line on what was made.

What they do: digital product design and digital branding
The partners: Standard Bank, Spotify, Accenture, Airbnb, Nestlé and more

[03 · Proof]

The studio, and its clients' words.

A gallery of the studio at work scrolls by, then clients have their say in a testimonial slider.

[04 · The ask]

Get in touch, and let's get to work.

It ends where every section points: getting in touch, with the project's type, budget and timeline asked up front, over the studio's sign-off, "Tech Forward. Design Led. Human Made."

The close: get in touch, and the footer

[Outcome]

Featured on One Page Love.

One Page Love featured the site in its Portfolio collection on 31 October 2024, calling out the team's hotspots and the testimonial slider ("very impressive"), and spotlighted it in its Love Letter #63.
